On Friday 17th May 2013 (which was also my mother's birthday, so happy birthday mum!) I thought I would go out and about and enjoy the good weather while it lasted. Not been out for a whole and since the weather was good I decided to take a trip into the land of cheese that is Cheddar, Somerset. I took myself off down the gorge and walked all the way though it from one end to the other and apart from the odd coach load and car driving though it was a nice walk.
I had not been to Cheddar in about a year and a half, but it hadn't changed very much since I had been "away" so to speak. Used to do rock climbing and caving in Cheddar a lot at one point so I know the area really well or at least I think to think I do!
All in all it was a good afternoon out and I am really glad that the weather held out, it was going to chuck it down at one point so I am glad that it didn't in the end. Next time I head on into Cheddar I shall take a trip around the Gough cave, which I have not been in since I was about ten years old!

The view from where I parked up.

A view of the river that runs by the road.

This is inside a camping and outdoor shop! This is the wall of part of the gorge that has been made into the back of the shop, in which he keeps fish! Epic.

Mead! I love mead and these are my fave brand if I have to buy some. Not has good as my friends homemade mead though!

This store sells the most amazing drinks you could ever wish to drink.

These little goats were running all over the gorge and into the road.
